The calligraphy research room is located in an independent space on the third floor of the Maritime Museum. It collects collections of calligraphy and painting related books from all over the world. It can be said that it is the most complete collection of calligraphy-related materials in China. The current collection of the Calligraphy Research Laboratory contains about 8,000 volumes of calligraphy books and materials in Chinese, Japanese and Korean. The contents include: calligraphy theory, copybooks, techniques, calligraphy appreciation and various reference books, such as a complete set of original color hair irons published in Japan, the complete collection of Forbidden City calligraphy, seal cutting series and collections of works of domestic and foreign calligraphers. Many books and materials are quite precious.
